Joey's Eagles is hosting a Pasta Dinner for Franki's family as well as 4 other local families on Sunday April 10th from 4-8 pm at St. John's Church
$6.00 per adult and $4.00 for Children 10 and under
(Exit 309 off Rt. 80 will be on 209N continue to end make a right onto 209N for approx. 8 miles, Pass Saw Mill Furniture on Right Church will be on the left)
The Steckel Family is *SO* thankful for Joey's Eagles' Soaring in to help Franki walk!
Franki is 8 years old, from Brodheadsville and was born with multiple brain and spinal "defects". Franki also has a seizure disorder; controlled by a special diet and keeping his settings chemically free. Then, he suffered a stroke at age two! Just a month after he had begun walking! The stroke also left his left arm completely useless. His family saved for 2 years to utilize an "alternative" treatment not paid for by insurance that has given Franki great results. Just to continue these treatments aside from daily cost of care is a huge expense. He travels to Dupont Hospital for Children each week and to Good Samaritan Hospital in Pottsville twice weekly for therapies. So the family is in need and gratefully welcomes any help or support. Franki has 4 other siblings too! Proceeds will go to further treatments for Franki at the Jenny Rose Center in Stroud. Pictures are Franki participating in Conductive Education at the Center, with also some of him working at walking alone again.
